Because of this, they would not have to use fossil fuels, i.e petrol, and diesel, and the environment would also not get polluted. For this not to happen, all the petrol-diesel companies opposed Elon Musk, because, if everyone started using electric cars, these people's businesses will be at a loss. So, to not use the energy created by fossil fuels, he thought of using renewable sources like solar energy and started a company called Solar City in 2006.
